You’ve got all kinds of sugar to pick from: raw sugar, turbinado, cane sugar, refined sugar… All these labels, how do you choose?
Let’s start with the basics. There are two sources of sugar: sugar cane and sugar beets. Remember when we talked about how sugar is made from sugar beets? (Check out by clicking HERE if you missed it.) Long story very short: the sugar beets are sliced, diffused, squeezed, purified, boiled and evaporated, and spun into pure white sugar.
